How is your Joyful June going? We’re back to ‘normal’ springtime temperatures in London after the heatwave and it’s delightful to stroll in the woods, even when it’s raining!
At the weekend, I treated myself to several joyful experiences. On Saturday, a cacao ceremony with meditation and a sound bath, yummy and relaxing.
Then yesterday I saw Loving Karma, a beautiful documentary about a children’s home in the foothills of the Himalayas. It was a great reminder that there are kind and caring people in the world.

How can I have fun this week?
This is a timely prompt for me! I’ve got surgery scheduled next week, so I’ve been pushing through lots of work in anticipation of needing time off to recover. But all work and no play isn’t a recipe for rejuvenation.
I think I’ll treat myself to some creative inspiration. Maybe a trip to the pottery painting cafe I’ve been wanting to try, or visit a gallery. Or I might even take a day trip out of London for a change of scene. As I’m always saying, you don’t need to earn breaks or rest. You also don’t need to earn fun!
