Are you off on holiday yet? I’m back at “home-home” in Northern Ireland and looking forward to a week of catching up with friends and family.
Plus noshing on “Norn Irish” specialities. I’ll probably tuck into an Ulster Fry (the world’s most dangerous cooked breakfast - too many of these will give you a heart attack), an Irish stew, and perhaps some local tipples.
I’m mostly looking forward to just relaxing and limiting my screen time, so I’ll be prescheduling my Weekend Reads post.

What do I want to gift myself for Christmas?
For Christmas week itself, I want to gift myself downtime. No work, just quality time with loved ones, woodland and coastal strolls, and cosying up with a good book.
And on the longer horizon, I want to keep offering myself kindness, avoid “shoulding” on myself, embrace the flexibility that self-employment offers, and follow my curiosity where it leads me.
