It’s just over a week since we wrapped up the 5x5 Everyday Mindfulness Challenge. It was such a pleasure to practice mindfulness in daily life with you.

I’ve been feeling pretty burnt out and keep being felled by office germs! 🦠
October is my final month with my employer after 15+ years, and with just two weeks on the countdown clock, there’s so much to get done! ⏱🤪
I’ve not had the headspace to produce quality writing, so rather than sending you drivel, I’m taking a sabbatical from essays this month. Normal service will resume in November!

The silver lining to this spate of burnout was some inspiration for a new series.
While under the weather, I’ve taken space to slow down and ponder: journalling, pulling oracle cards, thinking about what I want from my new life as a solopreneur.
This time for self-reflection was a small luxury and quite restorative.
I enjoyed it so much that I decided that from now on, I’ll start the week with intention, by focusing on a reflective prompt.
And then I figured, why keep this practice to myself? Why not bring you along for fun?

In the spirit of simplicity, knowing how time-poor we all are, and what a rush Mondays can be, I’ll keep the prompts bitesized.

So without further ado, here’s our first prompt:
What do I need this week to nourish my body and soul?
For me, nourishment will centre around balance: taking enough time for rest, for fun, for fulfilment, and making sure I say no to things that don’t serve me.
